Approve Minutes – November 8, 2017
Public Hearings Application No. YVA-41-17, Rosemary J. Stacpoole: Request for YVA approval, pursuant to Section 24.1-327(b)(4) of the York County Zoning Ordinance, to authorize non-transient rental of an existing detached accessory apartment on a 0.5-acre parcel of land located at 121 Alexander Hamilton Boulevard (Route 1012) and further identified as Assessor’s Parcel No. 18-3-B. The accessory apartment was approved by the Board of Supervisors on September 18, 2007 subject to conditions, one of which stipulates that the apartment shall not be rented separate from the principal dwelling and shall be occupied only by family members or guests of the occupant of the single-family dwelling. The applicant is requesting that this condition be removed to allow the accessory apartment to be rented for non-transient use. The property is zoned YVA (Yorktown Village Activity) and designated as Yorktown in the Comprehensive Plan.
